Graphic Design

This project explores how graphic design shapes narrative worlds through signage, typography, and visual identity embedded directly into environments. Drawing inspiration from mid-20th-century American cities and contemporary neighborhood storefronts, each piece combines historical graphic references with illustrative world-building to create immersive storytelling spaces.  I aim to bridge graphic design and visual development, showing how thoughtful environmental graphics can deepen narrative atmosphere.

The 1940s New York street scene focuses on vintage marquees, neon lettering, and period advertising, reconstructed through extensive research on mid-century print and outdoor graphics. In contrast, the “Pizza Made in NYC” storefront studies how branding, color, and lighting transform a neighborhood façade from day to night. Together, these works highlight how designed visuals, ranging from hand-painted signs to architectural details, contribute to a place's mood, culture, and personality.
